Pedestrian recovers in hospital after fiery crash in Sydney

Passersby found the injured man lying in the road at the corner of Oxford Street and Wentworth Avenue in Surry Hills. Witnesses told police a blue Toyota Yaris hatchback hit the 33-year-old man as he crossed at the pedestrian crossing, before slamming into a parked SUV and catching fire. The pedestrian was taken to St Vincent's Hospital in what's reported to be a serious but stable condition.
