Police looking for two men after collision with car kills pedestrian

On Monday, December 29, Kent Police were called to the A289 at Gads Hill at around 12.10pm after a car struck a male pedestrian who later died.
Kent Police have released CCTV images showing two people and are attempting to trace two men who may assist enquiries.
Police urged anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage of a grey Mercedes estate car to call 01622 798538 quoting reference 29-0481, as CCTV images show two hooded men, one appearing to run and another carrying a vehicle's number plate.
Road closures remain in place while police investigate, including Pier Road between The Strand and Gads Hill, as Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit requests dashcam footage.
Police urged members of the public with information to contact them, with Detective Inspector Zoe Wilczek saying, `While we appreciate the quality of these images isn’t crystal clear, we are still in the early stages of our investigation`.
