Patient at Wynn Hospital in Utica accused of assaulting staff

Police said Thomas Gibbons, of Sherrill, was a patient at the hospital at about 1:20 p.m. Thursday, April 16, when he became upset over a treatment plan the provider was discussing with him. Police said Gibbons rushed the provider, slammed the door shut and began striking the victim in the head and face.
