Passenger on Deadhorse-Anchorage flight arrested after trying to open cabin door in midair, charges say

Kassian William Fredericks was charged with interfering with flight crew after trying to open an emergency exit door mid-flight and was banned from Alaska Airlines.

The 36-year-old was acting erratically on the Alaska Airlines plane carrying North Slope workers and needed to be restrained by other passengers, according to federal charges filed Friday.
