Park Rapids tax levy to rise 4.5% in 2026

The Park Rapids City Council on Tuesday, Dec. 9, adopted the final property tax levy payable in 2026. The total levy of $3,826,846 includes a general fund levy of $2,837,719. According to City Administrator Angel Weasner’s truth-in-taxation presentation, this represents a 4.5% increase on the 2025 levy of $3,622,083, supplying an additional $164,794 for city operations.
