The new South Charleston retail development, Park Place, will be anchored by Kroger’s largest Marketplace store in the nation, marking a $40 million investment that will transform a former industrial site into a shopping destination. The project will include over 20 stores such as Mission BBQ and Skechers Outlet, with Kroger alone creating 300 jobs.As construction progresses toward the Marketplace’s anticipated 2026 opening, Mayor Frank Mullens b
