On Tuesday, the Court of Appeal increased minimum prison terms for Klevi Pirjani and Nivalda Pirjani after ruling their original sentences for murdering their 13-week-old son, Miguel Pirjani, were 'unduly lenient.'
The couple had been sentenced in March to life terms with minimums of 19 and 15 years following their son's death from 41 bone fractures sustained across at least four separate incidents of systematic abuse.

Detective Chief Inspector Holly Chance said Merseyside Police remains committed to protecting children and provides specialist support for those who 'find the courage to come forward and speak to us.
