A 24-year-old couple from the state of Schleswig-Holstein are facing life in prison for starving their four-month-old baby to death, a German court ruled on Tuesday. The baby girl, named Ashley, weighed just one kilogram on the day she died, Bild reported.
Two 24-year-olds in Brunsbüttel already have two children. When a third is born, they are completely overwhelmed, they explain. For this reason they do not take care of it so that it dies. For the court it is clear that there is a murder by neglect.
