Anyone traveling to Italy this summer should be aware of the new beach rules. In Sardinia, there are restrictions on the number of sun umbrellas, and in Jesolo, thousands of sun loungers have been removed.

One of Sardinia's most famous beaches is tightening its rules for tourists. Punta Molentis in Villasimìus has introduced a €10 entrance fee and a ban on private beach umbrellas for most visitors.
