The new pope is expected to be ready in two to three days.

The third papal election of the 21st century begins today in the Vatican's Sistine Chapel, where 133 cardinals will decide on the 267th successor to Saint Peter. This number far exceeds the number of participants in the last conclave in 2013, so the election rounds could take even longer.
