Panthers sign forward Christopher Mah for the 2026-27 season

The Port Moody Panthers announced today that the team has signed 2008-born forward Christopher (CJ) Mah for the 2026-27 Pacific Junior Hockey League season. Mah, who’s from Anmore, B.C., spent the 2025-26 season with the Tri-City Hydra U18 A2 team, serving as an alternate captain. He also finished third in scoring on the Surrey Knights (Black) spring team in the Fraser Valley Super League with five goals and four assists in 10 games. He played the 2024-25 campaign with the North Shore Warriors U17 Prep team in the CSSHL U17, appearing in 32 regular-season games and posting seven goals and two assists for nine points. “I’m really excited for the chance to play in Port Moody because I grew up playing hockey here,” said Mah. “Now I have the opportunity to play locally at the junior level.” The forward played three seasons within the Warriors program. During the 2023-24 campaign, he recorded 10 goals and 18 assists for 28 points in 31 games with the Warriors U17 Prep squad. His tenure with the organization also included time at the CSSHL U15 and U16 Prep levels during the 2022-23 season. “My goals this season are to further develop my overall play and to get used to playing at the junior level,” noted Mah. Before joining the CSSHL ranks, Mah played youth hockey locally in the Port Moody Amateur Hockey Association, as well as competing with the Fraser Valley Sturgeon U14 program during the 2021-22 season. “The best way to describe my game, I think, is that I am a strong two-way center that can play both the offensive and defensive sides of the game,” explained Mah. Mah is the fifth newly announced recruit signed by the Panthers for the 2026-27 PJHL season, joining forwards Logan Cyr, and Owen O’Farrell, alongside defenders Cameron Chan and David Zhang.
