Panthers defender Kolton Thompson advances to BCHC’s Langley Trappers

The Port Moody Panthers announced today that defender Kolton Thompson has signed with the Langley Trappers of the B.C. Hockey Conference. The Panthers receive a player development fee in exchange for his Junior A playing rights. Thompson, a 2007-born blueliner, departs the Panthers after spending the last three seasons in the PJHL. The 6-foot-1, 198-pound defender was second among Port Moody blueliners in scoring last season with three goals and nine assists for 12 points in 36 games. He added a goal and an assist in the Panthers’ first-round playoff series against Mission. A native of Maple Ridge, B.C., Thompson has five goals and 12 assists for 17 points in 93 career PJHL games with Port Moody, Abbotsford, and Port Coquitlam. The Panthers organization is incredibly proud of Thompson and his accomplishments in Port Moody. His advancement to the Junior A level highlights our core commitment to player development.
