- Two firefighters were killed near Bordeaux, while local business owner Lance Attwood described the city as "full of smoke and ash." Residents are wearing masks to cope with poor air quality as evacuation continues.
- European Relations Minister Hamish Falconer urged British citizens to follow local evacuation instructions on Monday. Emmanuel Macron said on Saturday that France would need to "rebuild" and "repair" the damaged regions.
- Although temperatures are cooler today at around 26C, forecasts predict dangerous heat rising to 39C by Wednesday. This season is significantly worse than last year and 2022, with dry conditions and changing winds hindering firefighting since last week.
