On Tuesday, Palo Alto Networks acquired Console, an AI-native platform designed to help organizations automate operational tasks using natural language.
The acquisition addresses rising cybersecurity needs as companies deploy artificial intelligence at scale and face new security risks, according to Palo Alto Networks.
Palo Alto Networks posted fourth-quarter revenue of $3.41 billion, beating the $3.35 billion estimate, while Chairman and CEO Nikesh Arora said the deal enables customers to "build agentic workflows in natural language."
Arora said this shift to "software-as-an-agent" gives the platform "the arms and legs to deliver autonomous security outcomes" while enabling direct conversations with data.
Palo Alto Networks forecasts fiscal 2027 revenue between $14.1 billion and $14.2 billion, representing 23% to 24% growth, with adjusted profit per share between $4.16 and $4.19.
Palo Alto Networks beat fourth-quarter earnings estimates on Tuesday and announced the acquisition of AI-native platform Console, saying advances in artificial intelligence are making cybersecurity a higher priority for corporate technology leaders.
