Pakistan successfully conducts training launch of Fatah-4 cruise missile
The missile is equipped with advanced avionics and navigational aids, and officials said the launch was meant to improve troop readiness and accuracy.
On Thursday, the Pakistan Army Rocket Force Command conducted a training fire of the indigenously developed Fatah-IV ground-launched cruise missile, marking a significant milestone in strengthening the country's indigenous defence capabilities.
This launch follows the successful training test of the Fateh-II missile system less than three weeks ago. The Pakistan Army also conducted a Fatah-IV training launch in September 2025 at a range of 750 kilometres.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, the system is "equipped with advanced avionics and state-of-the-art navigational aids." The military stated the test aimed to "enhance the operational efficiency of troops and validate the technical parameters of various subsystems."
President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and top military leadership commended the "successful training fire of Fatah-IV." Officials appreciated the "technical prowess, dedication and commitment" of the development teams.
The test reinforces Pakistan's strategic deterrence and precision strike capabilities through validation of technical parameters. These evaluations aim to ensure "improved accuracy and enhanced survivability," reinforcing the country's operational readiness.
