Delhi Crime Branch Cracks Down on ISI-Backed Arms Smuggling Racket, 4 Held

Delhi Police Crime Branch said it dismantled an ISI-linked arms-smuggling network and arrested four members in New Delhi, according to recent reports.
Tracing showed the weapons were routed through Pakistan for air-drops into Punjab, according to investigators, with the network allegedly using drones for transport.
Seizures included one foreign-made pistol, 92 live cartridges, two Chinese-made grenades, and five pistols during the operation.
The Crime Branch is mapping mobile data, bank transactions and social media trails to trace beneficiaries and widen the inquiry into past deliveries to Delhi and neighbouring states.
Officials allege the Pakistan-based handler used virtual numbers routed from Pakistan and employed a two-drone tactic, while preliminary probes link Mandeep and the Sonu Khatri gang to criminals Gogi and Kapil Sangwan.
