Pahoa food drop draws large crowd — and plenty of aloha

Nearly 150 vehicles received food, ice, and water from Vibrant Hawaii volunteers after a storm caused flooding and power outages, with about 1,100 customers still without power.

A long line of cars snaked around the parking lot of the Billy Kenoi District Park Gym in Pahoa on Wednesday, waiting their turn to load up storm relief supplies of food, ice and drinking water.
