Owner of closed Yorkshire village pub appeals against ruling that it could not become a house

Summary by Ground News
The White Swan in Thornton-le-Clay closed in 2020 when the last tenants left. It was subsequently purchased by Richard Harrison, who lives in the building with his wife. The couple applied to change its use to residential, arguing that it was not viable as a business. However following a campaign by the residents' group Save Our Swan, the council listed the pub as an Asset of Community Value.
