More Finns are investing in stocks and funds, latest figures show
More than two million people in Finland owned listed shares or investment funds at the end of 2024, according to new data from Statistics Finland. The figure represents just under 37 percent of the population. Retail investing has grown steadily over the past decade. In 2013, only around one in four people in Finland held investments in shares or funds. Investment funds remain more popular than direct stock ownership.
