The Nyanza High Court has heard the appeal of a 23-year-old man sentenced to life imprisonment by the Nyamagabe High Court on charges of raping a 10-year-old girl. Ndayizeye Samuel from Nyaruguru district, who pleaded guilty, said his actions were motivated by alcoholism and requested a reduction in the sentence requested by the prosecution to continue his life sentence.
