Before its 70th anniversary, the contest is targeted by the largest boycott movement in its history because of Israel's participation.
In a letter entitled "No music for genocide", the signatories say they refuse that the contest be used "to whitewash and normalize the genocide, siege and brutal military occupation of Palestinian.ne.s by Israel".
