With his photo "Flying Rodent" the Lower Austrian nature photographer Josef Stefan prevailed in the worldwide audience voting and was elected "Wildlife Photographer of the Year", as the London Natural History Museum announced on Wednesday.

An image of a lynx caught hunting has been named "Photo of the Year." Entitled "The Flying Rodent," the work belongs to Austrian photographer Josef Stefan and was taken in the Spanish region of Ciudad Real during a two-week trip.
