The Oronoco Fire Department says Oronoco Township's refusal to renew its contract for emergency medical services with the City of Oronoco could affect response times once the Pine Island Fire Department Takes over coverage on July 1.

ORONOCO TOWNSHIP, Minn. — After the contract for services doubled in cost, the Oronoco Township Board voted to no longer contract with Oronoco First Responders to cover emergency calls in the township. The township also contracts with the Pine Island Fire Department for fire and emergency response coverage.
