Originally an Outsider, Now His Odds Are Falling. It Needs a Change, Says Trunda, Candidate for FAČR Head

The former hockey player wants to be at the helm of the most popular Czech sport. He has bold visions and support from various corners and spheres. David Trunda - one of the three candidates for the chairman of the Football Association of the Czech Republic (FAČR) and the owner of the club from Mladá Boleslav - is still traveling around the country, seeking support for the elections and for himself.

A sturdy build, broad shoulders, hands like shovels and a firm grip. Judging by his figure, you would have guessed he was a hockey player – and he was. Would you have thought he would have made it all the way to the second Swedish league? The year was 2005. “I even played in the playoffs for Uppsala for the top competition. I was a hockey pro for two years,” recalls David Trunda. “But I still wanted to develop in other ways.”
