Oregon Republicans say Dems delaying vote on wildfire map repeal to get votes for wildfire funding

The decision to delay a vote on Senate Bill 83 came as a surprise to Republicans on the Committee, who later accused Democrats, House Speaker Julie Fahey, D-Eugene, and Gov. SALEM – Oregon State House of Representative Republicans failed in an attempt to force a vote on Senate Bill 83 on the floor of the House. The vote to take the bill that would overturn the controversial Statewide Wildfire Hazard Map out of the House Rules Committee failed by a 29 to 22 vote.
