Opposition trying to create anarchy in the country to benefit infiltrators: Nitin Nabin
Nitin Nabin accused Rahul Gandhi of trying to spread chaos, as the BJP defended the Election Commission and said protests would not change its decisions.
On Thursday, October 8, 2026, Bharatiya Janata Party National President Nitin Nabin attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his protests against the Election Commission of India, accusing him of an "anarchist mindset."
The Congress leader led street protests Wednesday after The Indian Express reported that election commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi objected at least 14 times over 10 months to decisions regarding the Special Intensive Revision process.
Nabin alleged the Opposition is protecting those with a "foreign mindset" and asserted the Bharatiya Janata Party will never allow infiltrators to claim rights to India's resources.
At the "Bike Seva Yatra" event marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 25 years in service, Nabin praised efforts to lift approximately 250 million people out of poverty.
Defending the party's record, Nabin stated that Bharatiya Janata Party workers operate round-the-clock throughout the year, contrasting this with opponents who only appear during election seasons.
BJP National President Nitin Naveen attacked Rahul Gandhi in Varanasi, calling him an anarchist and spreading poison in society. Regarding the ongoing controversy surrounding the Election Commission, he said that the same commission conducted the elections in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, where he gained power.
