Security in Ukraine foiled a Russian plot to eliminate public figures. Ten suspects were arrested thanks to Operation Enigma 2.0. Sponsors promised $100,000 per target.
Kyiv said on Friday that 10 suspects had been arrested in Ukraine and Moldova as part of an investigation into plans to assassinate senior officials for whom Russia had promised to pay up to $100,000.
The Ukrainian National Police reported that assassination attempts targeting Ukrainian journalists, politicians, and security officials were thwarted.
One of the seven persons detained for involvement in the plan of the Russian Special Service for the murder of public persons in Ukraine is Alina Bondarenko, originating in the Transnistrian region. During the detention, Ukraine's Security Service's commitments have been found to be a “responsible” legitimacy of the State Television Institute of the Republic of Moldova Prednestroviee.
