New Democracy’s coordinator for EU funds and women’s entrepreneurship, Kalliopi Semertzidou, has submitted her resignation following reports allegedly linking her and her husband to the ongoing investigation into a spiralling farm fraud.
Ms. Kalliopi Semertzidou submitted her resignation from the position of Coordinator of Community Resources and Women's Entrepreneurship of New Democracy, in a letter to the Secretary of ND Kostas Skrekas, on Tuesday, August 5, following publications concerning alleged illegal subsidies that she and her husband received from OPEKEPE. She clarifies that she remains an active member of New Democracy. Ms. Semertzidou's letter follows:
