Millions of Australians set for welfare payments boost

Millions of Australians will have their social security payments increased as indexation changes kick in later this month. More than five million recipients, including pensioners, renters, and job seekers will receive increases from 20 March. The maximum single rate of pension for those on the Age Pension, Disability Support Pension, and Carer Payment will increase by $4.60 to $1,149.00 a fortnight.
