The Prague leader of the ruling ANO movement in the municipal elections, Jan Hušbauer, is planning a parking revolution in the capital. The existing system of blue zones, which each city district solves independently, would be replaced by just two central ones. "One would be in the historic center of the city and the other would apply to the rest of Prague," Hušbauer says in an interview for iDNES.cz.
Parking is one of the problems that most burdens the residents of the capital. According to some experts, there are up to six cars per parking space. In a poll by the Echo24 newspaper, the candidates for mayor of Prague primarily talk about fundamental reform, agreeing that simply increasing prices will not improve the situation.
