A 54-year-old woman from Tijuana died Sunday afternoon after struggling to get out of the water at the beach located at kilometer 70 of the Tijuana-Ensenada scenic highway. According to reports, lifeguards from the Fire Department participated in the rescue of two people; however, when paramedics arrived, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident occurred around 12:20 p.m.
