One of Samsung’s Most Popular Phones Is Now Getting Stable One UI 9 with Android 17
The 2.4GB update adds Android 17, UI refinements, and security patches, and Samsung says more regions should follow in coming weeks.
- Samsung expanded the stable One UI 9 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 to global markets, including the European Union, following its initial release in South Korea last week.

- Users can check for the update by navigating to the Settings app and selecting Software update, where they can choose to "Download and Install" or "Install overnight" to upgrade their devices.
- While currently limited to specific regions including Europe, Samsung intends to expand the rollout to the United States and other global markets in the coming weeks.
- This rollout is part of a broader effort bringing Android 17 to numerous Samsung devices, including the Galaxy S24 series and Galaxy A36, as the company continues updating its smartphone lineup.
