One Crew Member Found in Cardiac Arrest After Fishing Boat Accident in Hokkaido (Kyodo News)

The First Regional Coast Guard Headquarters (Otaru) announced on the morning of the 30th that crew member Daiji Sawaya (48) had been found in the area of a fishing boat carrying four people that was thought to have been lost on the 29th in Setana Town, Hokkaido. He was in cardiac arrest. Pieces of wood with the name of the fishing boat written on them had washed up near the fishing port where the boat had departed.
