Once its saviour, US puts Kuwait in Iran's crosshairs
Since late February, Iran and its allies have frequently attacked Kuwait's civilian infrastructure and US military bases, killing at least 15 people including US and Kuwaiti soldiers.
Kuwait faces a complex dilemma due to its location and regional dynamics, with the US military presence making it a target for Iran, while alternatives to US support remain limited.
Many Kuwaitis, including political analyst Ghanim Alsulaimani, continue to support the US presence for security reasons, recognizing the US role in Kuwait's 1991 liberation.
