In Morocco, after the deadly Safi floods, the government launched Friday, December 18, 2025 an emergency programme to ensure a rapid return to normal living conditions in the affected areas. The disaster killed 37 people and caused considerable material damage in this port city on the Atlantic coast that saw the local river turn into a torrent of devastating mud last Sunday.
