Residents brace for a possible Russian hybrid attack on Poland’s border with Ukraine
Poland is deploying Patriot batteries and new air-defense elements after drone explosions near the border raised fears of further hybrid attacks.

- Two Russian drones exploded on the Ukrainian side of the Dorohusk-Yahodyn crossing on September 13, intensifying anxiety before Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk warned on September 17 that Russia was planning hybrid strikes with drones or rockets. Other European leaders have shared his warnings.
