Nurses at Olympia Fields Hospital in Olympia Fields, Illinois, gave notice to Prime Healthcare today that they will hold a strike for one day on September 15 to protest the administration’s retaliation against nurses who speak up and fight for their patients.

A one-day strike has been called by nurses at Olympia Fields Hospital for Tuesday, Sept. 15, as part of their initiative to get the administration to recognize their efforts to form a union. Olympia Fields Hospital was purchased in May 2026 by Prime Healthcare from Franciscan Health.
