Each year, more than six million visitors participate in this two-week event in the Bavarian capital. (International).
Going to the Oktoberfest and sitting on the Oktoberfest are two completely different experiences. After hours of waiting, the first visitors stormed the festival grounds shortly after 9 o'clock.
With the start of the Oktoberfest, the rush to the marquees began: thousands of visitors stormed into the Wiesn area after opening the gates in order to secure the sought-after places for the first day of the festival.
