[Motobu] Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium (Director Sato Keiichi) in Motobu Town announced on the 16th that it has given the Japanese name "Kuganiumitakehaze" to the first ever captured goby (scientific name: Pleuroshichia annandarei) in Japan. The name incorporates the Shimakutuba word "kugani," which means gold, in reference to the yellow color of the goby's body. The Kuganiumitakehaze is 2 to 3 centimeters long.
