- Housing and Municipal Affairs Minister Christine Boyle said the province worked closely with the Osoyoos Indian Band, and the final legal name retains 'Okanagan Falls' to respect community identity.
- During the local election on Oct. 17, 2026, residents will vote for a mayor and four councillors, while the province appoints interim officers to oversee the election process.
- The province is contributing around $6.6 million for infrastructure, administration, and election costs, with the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen managing water and sewer services for three years post-incorporation.
