Okanagan Developer Expands Into United States
The company will offer general contracting and construction management as Micron Technology’s $50 billion investment is expected to create 17,000 jobs.
Kelowna-Based construction developer Troika has launched its first international branch, Troika USA, in Boise, Idaho, to capture opportunities in the growing American market.
This expansion follows a $50 billion investment in the region from Micron Technology, expected to create 17,000 jobs and increase demand for housing, offices, health care, and schools.
Troika USA is headed by Jerry Frank, who brings nearly 30 years of development experience to the Treasure Valley, offering "general contracting and construction management for commercial, multifamily and institutional projects."
Starting in the fall, the company will bid on projects, leveraging its Canadian backing to meet local standards as Frank noted that owners want "a builder they know."
CEO Renee Merrifield said the firm has spent three decades building in Western Canada and believes the Treasure Valley is an ideal growing community for the company to apply its expertise.
