Ohio governor signs bill effectively banning ranked choice voting
Senate Bill 63, a bipartisan bill, will generally prohibit ranked choice voting and withhold state funding for local governments that use it. Previously, municipalities have been allowed to implement ranked choice voting if they so choose, although no Ohio city uses the practice.
