Officer finds sleeping driver with shirt on fire in Holyoke

HOLYOKE — A Holyoke police officer found a man asleep in his car early Sunday morning with part of his sweatshirt on fire, according to Police Chief Brian Keenan. Around 3:20 a.m., an officer was patrolling near Sargeant and South Canal streets when he saw a car blocking an alley. The car was running, its brake lights were on, and police later said it did not have valid registration or insurance.
