NWSL Scoring Leader Banda Scores 2 Goals in 3-1 Pride Win over Bay FC
Banda scored in the opening minutes, added another after halftime and set up Cori Dyke’s goal as Orlando extended its lead.
On Friday, Orlando Pride forward Barbra Banda scored two goals and provided an assist in a 3-1 victory over Bay FC at Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando.
With this performance, Banda extended her lead in the NWSL Golden Boot race, now totaling 11 goals in 12 games this season.
Opening the scoring in the fourth minute, Banda added her second goal in the 51st before defender Cori Dyke netted the Pride's third goal from the top of the box.
Following the match, Pride head coach Seb Hines stated he did not yet know the full nature of the injury Banda sustained late in the game.
The NWSL regular season will pause throughout June for the 2026 Men's World Cup, with Bay FC returning to play July 5 against Boston Legacy FC.
