Number of unemployed people enrolled in employment centers rises 1.5% in March

In March, 329,521 were registered unemployed in Portugal, with unskilled workers being the most represented. The number of unemployed couples, on the other hand, fell by 0.5%.

According to the Employment and Professional Training Institute (IEFP), at the end of March, 329,521 unemployed people were registered with employment services in mainland Portugal and autonomous regions, “a number that represents 69.0% of a total of 477,683 job applications”.
