More and more people in Germany do not have their own accommodation. This is evident from the Federal Government's report on homelessness. The number of homeless people is also increasing. There are statistical reasons for this.
There are currently almost 532,000 people living in Germany without a permanent residence.
The last count by the City of Ottawa identified 2952 people experiencing homelessness, compared to 1340 homeless in 2021.
