EDF hoped so far to be able to reach full power by the end of the summer. But a control and preventive maintenance operation forced the group to postpone this date.
EDF is now planning a full operation by autumn, after 12 years of construction and a first connection to the network in December 2024.
EDF announced on Friday 1 August that the EPR reactor in Flamanville would finally reach full power only "before the end of the autumn". A decisive step initially planned for the end of the summer, but postponed due to an adjustment of the schedule, said the group in a message.
