Nova Scotia officials are investigating after the new owners of a funeral home in the Annapolis Valley discovered the cremated remains of a “significant number” of people in storage, CBC News has learned. Several families were recently told ashes belonging to their dead loved ones had been found.
A woman in Nova Scotia says she doesn't know who her family buried eight years ago, after the new owners of a funeral home in the Annapolis Valley recently revealed that her father's remains were still in storage. Amanda Sabean explains that her family buried, in the spring of 2018, what was presented to her as the ashes of her father, Hendrik (Hank) Sabean, alongside other deceased family members.
