A new phase is beginning in the work on Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, which commenced after the fire in 2019. The renovation of the large rose window and the northern facade of the cathedral is starting. This was announced by Philippe Jost, president of the Rebâtir Notre-Dame de Paris institution.
If the reopening of the cathedral, on December 7 and 8, 2024, had made it possible to turn the page of the fire, the restoration site was far from over. Thanks to the funds of the building, it was possible to restore the north facade and the great western rose first appeared on the current values.
Philippe Jost, president of the public establishment Rebuilding Notre-Dame de Paris announces the launch of restoration works on the western rose and the northern facade, before those planned on the whole of the outside of the cathedral. A project for which a call for donations is launched.
