The South Korean military announced that it detected North Korea firing a second short-range ballistic missile on the afternoon of September 20, just three hours after the first launch.
It has not been confirmed whether both missiles were ballistic, however tensions on the peninsula remain high.
North Korea fired two missiles over a period of about three hours into the East Sea, which Pyongyang calls the Sea of Japan, in its second missile test in about a week.
